- Ride Project: Final Diverged Ride determined. Posting late this evening. The word of the day is TIRED.
- Note: Moore’s law for work capacity for me. I thought that I could keep doubling my output every 2-years. Apparently not. I just realized this. Today.
- Product Introduction: Honey Bikes brand new model, the All Roads debuts tomorrow at 10:00 am as the ride rolls out. Fingers crossed.

- Product Design: Seven Cycles has just completed our first carbon fender mount system. It’s a three part system. We bond the parts onto the carbon fork legs and crown. This photo is of a disc specific fork that’s also getting fender mounts. We don’t have the production system in place yet.
- Product Introduction: Honey Bikes Winterando project bike debut tomorrow in preparation for the Diverged Ride. It’s a cool bike!
- Sleep Deprived Idea: Staying upright is a challenge lately. A tilt switch would help. With a small detonator attached, maybe.
- Words: Some great thoughts from Velouria of Lovely Bicycle: Bike Fit, How Does It Work?
Post title: Me.

Velouria of Lovely Bicycle! wrote about her experience with bike fit. It’s a great piece that’s – as always – worth reading. Here are two excerpts:
“When I got the new bike, it fit differently than anything I had ridden previously, but I was left with no doubt it was the “right” fit for me. There was a sense of everything falling into place. My hands knew where the hoods were and plopped right down; my legs felt integrated with the cranks and pedals. I didn’t question any aspect of the positioning. Any other road bike I’ve ridden since, I try to adjust to the same specs. Depending on a bike’s size and geometry, it doesn’t always work – but the closer I can get it, the better it feels to ride.

- Research & Testing: Working on additional chainstay designs for Seven Cycles. And organizing the process by which we design each stay. We now have about 40 aspects for each stay. We’re also revisiting a design we did years ago and stopped – it’s what I call a cutout design. We did a couple bikes recently with this style, for a very specific purpose and now I’m regretting it. Sometimes people don’t seem to care too much about function when something looks cool or different. When does R&D go too far? Answer: when design gets in the way of good design.

- Product Development: Seven Cycles is working with Lon Haldeman on something interesting. Lon’s design requirements are unusual. He’s had a Seven for a while and we’re working on some modifications that may prove interesting.
- Product Development: I’ve put together an alpha test for Honey menu for weekend event.
- Project Ride: Diverged Ride and breakfast all but determined. The breakfast project was as much work as the ride development. Looking forward to both. Going to ride and going to eat. This will be my first Ride Studio Cafe ride this year.

Three Lights Will Be Just About Enough
- Product Development: Working on Mary McConneloug and Mike Broderick’s latest 650b bikes. Some new elements we’re including in these new bikes. We’ve been doing 650s for a while; this latest generation is incorporating aspects that don’t actually relate to 650s.
- Event: Working on a big randonee season kickoff party at Ride Studio Cafe. This is an all day affair starting with a brunch, a 108k ride, and then an evening party.
- Food: Finalizing the Ride Studio Cafe Menu. This will be the first true food that the Studio has offered. We’re doing a beta test in a couple weeks. Feedback so far has been really good.
