  • Research & Testing:  Working on additional chainstay designs for Seven Cycles.  And organizing the process by which we design each stay.  We now have about 40 aspects for each stay.  We’re also revisiting a design we did years ago and stopped – it’s what I call a cutout design.  We did a couple bikes recently with this style, for a very specific purpose and now I’m regretting it.  Sometimes people don’t seem to care too much about function when something looks cool or different.  When does R&D go too far?  Answer:  when design gets in the way of good design.
