Graphic Design: Ride Studio Cafe Team Kit 2013 V 1.0

It’s another year and another kit for the Ride Studio Cafe Racers.  I love working on graphic design.  It’s fun because I don’t have to worry about fatigue strength, margins of safety, handling geometry, or any of the other critical work I do a lot.  Clothing is simply fun.  The only stress is getting it done on time – or at least not super late.

As we’ve done in the past, the latest kit is an evolution of the last kit.  So far we’ve made a few kits for the Studio:

Designers:  Rob Vandermark and Skunk.

Supplier:  Craft Sports clothing.  They are just getting into the custom clothing business in the United States and it’s been good to work with Don and Craft.  The team captains tried on clothing from six or more suppliers.  They narrowed it down to three for the team to evaluate.  Craft won.

Deadline:  Middle of March.  This means we have to get the kit design to Craft before the end of January.

Timeline in reverse:

Jan 16 2013  |  Each piece of clothing is slightly different so the kit feels like a set but each item is interesting in different ways.  This is my favorite team kit yet.  I really like the skinsuit; too bad I can’t wear it.
