Purpose: Fast road rides. Keep up with any pure road bike and still be able to roll in the woods
How: Schwalbe One tires. Full on road performance – and I’d still ride these on any mountain trail.

Purpose: Mostly paved conditions with the requisite dirt road sections.
How: Ruffy Tuffy 28c slick tire. As an aside, this tire and the Roll-y Pol-y are some of my favorite offroad tires.

Purpose: Fast wet or dry conditions in mixed terrain; more paved and dirt. Cyclocross style; fast handling for tight terrain. Works great with 45mm fenders for those fun wet rides.
How: Clement MSO 32 knobby with center ridge

The next dozen or so posts will be of a recent Seven Cycles Evergreen SL bike in a bunch of configurations. Starting in a classic set up and ending with my full on 24-hour offroad setup.

We had a visit today – at Seven Cycles, Honey Bikes, and Ride Studio Cafe – from Minneapolis Musette. It was a great meeting. He got a tour and got to ride a bunch. Great guy and great retailer.
He’s very astute. A few of his observations included:
1. There is one ‘Dunkin’ for every ten Bostonians.
3. There exists not one straight road in all of Massachusetts.
