Product Development: Hup Honey Bike – 29er Mountain Race

Honey is taking what we’ve done with the the Hup Limited Edition Cyclocross Honey and applying it to a limited edition Mountain Trail bike.

Project Directives:

  • 29er and 650b options
  • Quick handling New England trail bike
  • About 1/3 of a pound lighter than the standard Honey mountain frameset
  • Available 1×11, single speed, classic gearing
  • Belt and chain options
  • Represent Hup United

January 11, 2013  |  Worked with Dan V. on finalizing the design today.  And worked on sourcing the 1×11 SRAM kit.  A few parts not available.  I really want to get it set up as a 1×11.  We’ll figure something out.  Working on paint scheme.  It’s a bit tricky to design five paint schemes in one week.
