For the holiday season, Ride Studio Cafe worked with rouler Henry van den Broek to host a ride series — Holiday Rides with Henry — regardless of weather or climate. It wasn’t an easy task — getting out for five days in any conditions. The Snowflake Century Ride was a good example of harsh winter climate on a 100+ mile ride. Regardless, Henry hung in there for all the rides and was a pro, as always.
In honor of Henry leading the series, I got to design a Special Edition t-shirt to memorialize the adventure — and to embarrass him a bit.
RSC is offering the shirt at cost — just covering the cost of the shirt and printing. I’m covering the cost of design, supplier management, and any of the other behind the scenes work. If there are any dollars left after paying for printing and t-shirt cost, RSC is donating the money to a local cycling advocacy group, to be determined once all the orders are in.
There are still a few shirts left so place your order now!
I don’t usually post behind the scenes design work but since we put this design together so quickly, here are few photos of the design process. I worked with Kirk T. to execute the final logo with InDesign based on sketches I provided and numerous conversations we had.
