Words: Inside Seven Cycles

in Press, Seven Cycles

Bicycling Magazine just published a great piece by the prolific Molly Hurford.  Molly took all the photos and wrote the article.  It’s a photo essay about Seven.  Molly really captured the feel of Seven.

It was great to meet with Molly and talk about Seven.  I was fascinated that her interests went well beyond, “What type of titanium do you use?” and, “Why don’t you tapered tubes?”

Molly went to Rutgers College and did some work relating to their business books.  Her business interest came through clearly.  We talked more about business than bikes; what it takes to build a successful team and sustainable company.  It was refreshing to discuss these topics.  So few people in the bike world seem interested in what’s happened to small bike businesses over the past couple years.  It’s been an interesting time to be in the bike industry, particularly in the high-end space.  Seven has thrived and that was not lost on Molly.

Thanks, Molly, for seeing things differently and sharing that with Bicycling Magazine’s readers.
