Seven Cycles has only offered a winter trainer a few times over the years – and only once with Woolistic. This is a matching piece to the long sleeve wool jersey; similar design but subtle changes. This is a very limited run. I’m guessing we’ll sell out within a few weeks. We have reasons for doing what we do. Not always good reasons, but reasons nonetheless.
It’s a nice piece that is long overdue to be back in our line.
Project timeline in reverse:
February 21, 2013 | The Seven Cycles 2013 Winter wool jersey arrived today. At least, the first few did. It’s a very different design than the maker has done before. It was a challenge but I think it was worth it. We’ve got two styles: full zip medium weight wool. And a trainer jacket that’s a slightly heavier weight, with a slightly different look. This project has been a lot tougher than I thought it could have been. The design, sourcing, and deadlines were ongoing frustrations. The finished piece is great – and that’s what really matters.
November 20 | Working on three winter pieces for Seven Cycles. A trainer, a medium weight wool jersey, and a lightweight long sleeve jersey. All three are different, multiple sources. All for the 2013 season. Posting more soon.
November 5 | Finalizing the Seven Cycles winter wool jersey today. Waiting on a quote. The design is a bit unusual. Posting images soon.
October 30 | Waiting to hear back from the manufacturer about whether or not our design is possible.
October 24, 2012 | Wool Jersey design for Seven Cycles. This is the 2012 winter version. We’re working with Woolistic on a different style that I’m not sure they’re going to be able to do for us. Fingers crossed. Timeline is tight – what a surprise.
